Jason R. Espinosa joined Segar and Sciortino in May 2011. He is a native of San Antonio, Texas, and attended the University of Rochester, where he graduated in 2001. Jason returned to his home state and in 2004 obtained a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. Later that year, he passed the Texas Bar Exam. Beginning in 2005, he worked as a prosecutor in Corpus Christi, Texas for the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office. Jason tried over 40 misdemeanor and felony criminal cases before returning back to Rochester and receiving admission by reciprocity to the New York State Bar in 2010. Jason remains an Inactive Member of the State Bar of Texas.

He considers himself extremely lucky to have been blessed with the most caring family and friends all throughout his life, and could not be where he is without their support.

Jason recently became engaged to attorney Candace Curran of the Rochester law firm Harter, Secrest, and Emery. They enjoy travel, concerts, and spending time in the great outdoors.
